April 15-17 Dogwood Festival

The Guild participated in Winchester's "International Dogwood Festival" by exhibiting members' art at the American Legion Hall during the three-day event. Guild artists as well as other local artists participated in the exhibit and sale.

The guild had an EMPTY BOWLS (feed the hungry) project under a tent in front of the hall. The public was invited to come to the tent and make a bowl from clay. The bowls were then dried and fired for donation The Tennessee Association of Craft Artists Empty Bowls Project. The guild bought enough clay and other supplies to make 100 bowls.

Each artist in the show donated a small item of their art to be given away through a drawing during the festival. Thirteen gifts were given to the lucky winners.
